Beginning possesses two yang elements: one is on the bottom, the other is at the fifth place. The firm on the bottom indicates the beginning. It commemorates the beginning of King Wen’s establishment of the feudal lords as a means of rescuing the people from the tyranny of the Shang Dynasty. The firm at the fifth place indicates that eventually King Wen was able to establish a magnanimous government, bringing peace and prosperity to the people.
